NHS Nene Clinical Commissioning Group become a statutory organisation
2012
NHS Nene Clinical Commissioning Group hold their first public conference to launch their organisation, wither over 300 members of the public in attendance.
2011
GP practices in Irchester, Earls Barton, Brackley and Byfield join Nene Commissioning.
After changes in the White Paper Nene Commissioning becomes a Clinical Commissioning Group.
Awarded the ‘Best Outcome-Focused Redesign’ at the National Association of Primary Care Awards for their Community Elderly Care Service.
2010
Launch of the Government White Paper outlining a series of NHS reforms including the change of responsibility for commissioning from Primary Care Trusts to GP Commissioning Consortium.
Nene Commissioning successfully applies to become a pathfinder GP Commissioning Consortium.
2009
Daventry and South Northants PBC consortium join Nene Commissioning as a fourth locality.
Nene Commissioning lead a successful application to become a national Integrated Care pilot. The two year pilot includes primary care, secondary care, social care and third sector partners with the aim to take the successful Pro Active Care model and develop step-up and step-down care to strengthen community management of patients whose only option was a hospital bed.
Named Most Advanced PBC Consortium for the second year.
2008
Awarded the inaugural ‘Most Advanced PBC Consortium in the UK’ award by the National Association of Primary Care.
2007
Nene Commissioning forms as a practice-based commissioning company to help encourage and facilitate GPs to get more involved in making decisions which affect local healthcare.
