Care Home and Domiciliary Care Provider Conference

NHS Nene and NHS Corby Clinical Commissioning Groups Quality Improvement Team is holding the first Northamptonshire Care Providers Conference at the Northampton Hilton on Thursday 21st September. The event will bring together providers from all areas of the health provider network to share ideas and experiences with colleagues from health, social, domiciliar residential and nursing.

The event is being facilitated by NHS Nene and Corby CCG's with the aim of providing practical and useful information on a variety of topics that will drive forward the quality improvement agenda within Northamptonshire.

The event will contain workshops and breakout sessions from a diverse group of specialists and following a keynote address from NHS England, includes workshops on dementia and loneliness led by De Montfort University as well as sessions on mental capacity, tissue viability and safeguarding. Skills for Care and LGSS will provide expertise on training and developing a workforce with Public Health England also attending to provide expert advice on Infection prevention and control.

This conference aims to bring healthcare and social care providers together and provide them with practical information which can be directly applied to their individual needs.

Feedback from providers is vital to ensuring that expertise and experience gained is shared and this event will seek to build relationships and allow the attendees to develop their own supportive and networks across the county. Sharing best practice and knowledge gained from providing services within Northamptonshire can only benefit service users across the county by driving forward the quality agenda.
