In January the Long Term Plan for the NHS was launched.
The NHS Long Term Plan is a set of changes to the health service which should bring about some important improvements in care quality and outcomes, while also tackling the pressures staff face. It focuses on where funding should be invested and the priorities for the NHS for the next 10 years.
Locally, Healthwatch Northamptonshire is holding a public local engagement event on Thursday 2 May at the Park Inn in Northampton to discuss the NHS Long Term Plan and influence the development and improvement of local health and care services in Northamptonshire.
It will be an opportunity for local people to share their experiences and discuss what improvements they would like to see how they would like services to be delivered locally. The meeting is open to the public and free to attend and you can book your place by visiting: https://healthwatchltpconference.eventbrite.co.uk
Kate Holt, CEO of Healthwatch Northamptonshire said “This will be a great opportunity for local people to feed in their ideas to improve health and care services in Northamptonshire. If anyone would like to attend the event but can't we will also be circulating a short survey soon too. It is really important that people in Northamptonshire have their say on how NHS changes are implemented so they can make a difference to how services are improved”.
A market place for local health and care commissioners, providers and partners is available to have a stand at the event. If you would like to book a stand please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
