About 16% of children live in low income families across the county. Whilst life expectancy for both men and women is similar to the England average and expected to increase, health inequalities show that life expectancy is 8.8 years lower for men and 7.0 years lower for women in the most deprived areas of Northamptonshire than in the least deprived areas.
